General Tracking FAQs

Vehicle tracking pertains to the keeping tabs on the real-time location of your vehicle and its’ status. Although the term is usually applied to ensuring the safety of vehicle against thefts and break-ins, vehicle tracking can also mean analysing the state of the vehicle and how it is used, which includes things like driving habits, idling etc.
Vehicle tracking includes installing a tracker in your vehicle that sends real-time updates to a server that the vehicle owner or fleet manager can use to stay updated. Given a range of accessories, it is possible to remotely control some aspects of the vehicle. For example, in case a vehicle is stolen, you might even have the option of remotely shutting down the engine.
With Unitracker, you have the option to set a time duration meaning you control how often the data is transmitted from the tracker to the server. This gives you more control over the costs and ensures that you only get pertinent information. Depending on your needs, you can receive updates in 1-second intervals up to once every 5 minutes.
Yes, our trackers and software solutions are global. Even the SIM cards that we offer with our trackers have global SIM cards in them so if your vehicles transcend international borders, the data costs stay down and you can monitor your vehicles without any problem.
Unitracker takes security concerns seriously, which is why we offer a cloud solution. Whether you own a single vehicle or a hundred, you can log into the Unitracker Live platform and view the reports of your vehicle. All you need is a browser and an internet connection and you are ready to manage your fleet.
Unitracker Live has an eco-driving feature that you can use to put in the parameters against which your performance will be judged. We realise that one size doesn’t fit all. That’s why having a configurable driver scoring system gives fleet managers and private car owners a convenient way to analyse their own driving habits.
Unitracker offers multiple types of trackers so there are no default dimensions. We offer portable trackers as well with extra batteries and a case that you can attach to the metal body of your vehicle and it will begin transmitting data right away.
Unitracker authorised engineers install the trackers very discreetly so, in case of a theft or an intrusion, the tracking device remains hidden from the plain sight of the thieves. The tracker continues transmitting the status updates and triggering alerts.
We have a team of engineers and specialists nationwide. Wherever you live, once you place an order, we dispatch your products to the engineers closest to you, who arrange a convenient time for you to come down with your vehicle for the installation.
We offer backup batteries for the portable trackers. Some of our trackers have an internal battery and can function even if the main power is disconnected. You can set a trigger to receive alerts if the tracker loses its’ main power source.
Yes, we adhere to high standards to ensure that your data remains secure in our servers. The traffic between your computer and our server is encrypted meaning hackers cannot view what you do on our website.
Yes, depending on your case, you might be allowed a number of logins. You can even set different permissions for your users so they can access only a section of your platform and not all of it.
In case you want to sell a vehicle that has a tracker installed on it, we can help you remove it or put it into another vehicle of yours. Just reach out to us and we will be able to better help and guide you.
Yes, there is a fee that you have to pay to remove a tracker from a vehicle. Please reach out to us to get a price quote.

That depends on a range of factors such as what trackers you choose and the accessories you select. To get a price quote, please get in touch with us.

Logistics FAQs

Logistics is a field service management platform that helps you control all delivery phases of a job. It is an ideal platform for managers in the logistics and delivery sector who need a low-budget solution.
Fleet managers are equipped with the web-version platform that they can use to add jobs and dispatch them to the most appropriate personnel. Drivers have a mobile phone application on which they receive jobs, job updates, instructions and more. Using the two platforms, the drivers and the fleet managers are always in touch.
Using the web version of the logistics platform, fleet managers can easily add and upload jobs, plan their on the road operations, monitor the job progress and help their drivers navigate their way to the job location with routing through Google Maps.
No, the applications are free to download from the Apple Store and Google Play.
The mobile phone applications allow drivers to take photos and comments to a job. It helps drivers submit all the relevant information to a job so the fleet manager can view the file and be satisfied with the job completion.
